The NAF Trimsector with Z-trim combines the benefits of an advanced control valve with the simplicity of a ball sector valve. The patent-applied design is based on the well-established NAF-Setball ball sector valve. The NAF Trimsector Z-trim addresses the problems of cavitation and high noise levels with its innovative design.

The valve features a V-shaped sector that provides accurate control over a wide operating range, even at low flow rates, and a ball sector with top and bottom bearings requiring very low operating torques, enabling the use of lower torque actuators. The NAF Trimsector is CE-marked according to Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EG) module H, category III.

Technical Data

  • Size Range: DN 25-400 (1″)
  • Pressure Rating: PN 10-40 (ANSI Class 150, 300)

Advantages

  • Z-trim design reduces noise and cavitation by taking the pressure drop in several steps.
  • Suitable for media with impurities or fibers, offering a self-cleaning effect.
  • High Cv value and optimal control solution.
  • Splined connection between shaft and sector minimizes backlash.
  • Maintenance-free o-ring stem seal design.
  • Direct mounting method enhances control and creates a compact valve/actuator assembly.
  • Trunnion design with top and bottom bearings requires very low operating torques.

Industries

  • Bleach Chemicals
  • Digester

Applications

The NAF Trimsector with Z-trim is designed for operation in cases where pressure conditions lead to cavitation and noise. It is suitable for a wide variety of applications, particularly those involving challenging media and difficult pressure conditions. The valve’s focus on functionality, high quality, and low life-cycle costs makes it an ideal choice for demanding control applications.
