Worcester WK70/74 clean valve
The Worcester WK70 forged and WK74 cast low-ferrite tube-bore clean ball valves deliver reliable performance in Ireland’s pharmaceutical, biotech, food, cosmetic, paint, chemical, and semiconductor manufacturing industries, where microbes, media deposits, mineral impurities, and cross-contamination must be minimised.
These high-purity valves feature a tube-bore design that precisely matches process tubing to prevent pyrogen or bacteria buildup, with WK70 valves built from 316L stainless steel (guaranteed ferrite content under 1%) and WK74 from CF3M 316L (under 5%) to eliminate rouging risks.
Ideal for sterile steam, nutrient inlets, high-purity water, and high-vacuum applications, they offer bubble-tight shutoff, high-cycle life, steam service capability up to 20 barg, and CE-marked ratings up to 35 bar and 260°C with Fluorofill or reinforced PTFE seats.

Technical Data
-
High-purity design prevents microbes, media deposits, mineral impurities, and cross-contamination in product-sensitive processes.
-
Tube-bore dimensions precisely match connected tubing to eliminate pyrogen or bacteria buildup sites.
-
Metallurgy: Forged WK70 uses 316L stainless steel (<1% ferrite guaranteed); cast WK74 uses CF3M 316L (<5% ferrite) to prevent rouging.
-
Seats (PTFE, reinforced PTFE, Fluorofill) provide bubble-tight shutoff under high vacuum and high-cycle operation.
-
Steam capability: Fluorofill seats rated to 20 barg working steam pressure (WSP) for sterile steam service.
-
Stem seals: High-cycle design ensures external sealing reliability when automated.
-
High vacuum rating, long cycle life, and strong pressure-temperature performance suit sterile steam, nutrient inlets, and high-purity water applications
Advantages
-
Tube-bore design precisely matches process tubing to prevent pyrogen or bacteria build up.
-
Low-ferrite 316L construction eliminates rouging from mineral impurities.
-
Forged WK70 body offers superior integrity over castings—stronger, free from pits, crevices, or inclusions.
-
Bubble-tight shutoff with PTFE, reinforced PTFE, or Fluorofill seats, even under high vacuum and high cycles.
-
High-cycle stem seals ensure reliable external sealing when automated.
-
0.5 micron standard internal finish (electropolished to 0.25 micron optional) for superior cleanability.
-
CE-marked per Pressure Equipment Directive, pressures to 35 bar, temperatures to 260°C.
-
Purge ports available for CIP/SIP applications; high vacuum rating.
