SIHI Pump CEH, CEH Mag Drive

SIHI Pump CEH is a self-priming side channel pump capable of handling gas along with the medium and operates at low noise levels. The CEH pumps are used for problem-free pumping of clean liquids at unfavourable suction side conditions. They are also very suitable for positive suction heads below 0.5m.

The different material possibilities with uniform dimensions and performance characteristics as well as the standard exchangeable components, make the CEH particularly recommendable for applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical or petrochemical market as well as in the plastic or oil industry. Because of its low NPSH and positive suction head, the CEH is ideally suited for the pumping of liquefied gasses and liquids under vapour pressure like condensate, refrigerant, boiler feed water or LPG. The pumps of the CEH /7 series have a retaining stage to avoid the dry running by controlling the liquid level in the pump. This design is specially developed for the handling of liquids under vapour pressure or when pumping from underground tanks. The series CEH /5 are used for bottom off-loading of liquids under vapour pressure.

The SIHI Pump CEH range of pumps has been designed in a segmental type construction with open vane wheel impellers. The construction of the SIHI Pump CEH is a so-called centrifugal combined system. This combination pump is paired with a centrifugal stage in serial connection before the side channel stages to obtain a more favourable NPSH. The program comprises 6 sizes each with 1-8 stages. The existing material design allows an optimum rating for the respectively desired performance range and the pumping medium. Pumps of the series CEH /7 are equal to the CEH series but equipped with a retaining stage. This program comprises 6 sizes with 2-7 stages. The series CEH /5 have also 6 sizes but with 2-8 stages. The applied hydraulic components are from our Modular Side Channel system (interchangeability of parts).

SIHI CEH Magnetic Drive Pumps are side channel pumps with NPSH inducer stage suitable to handle liquids which do not contain solid matters or abrasive admixtures. The NPSH inducer stage allows the operation under unfavourable pumping conditions at suction side, also at positive suction heads lower than 0,5 m. The special ability of these pumps to handle liquids at the boiling point has led to a wide field of applications when condensate, distillate, coolant and liquefied gas shall be pumped. CEH pumps are applied in the chemical and petrochemical industry, in the pharmaceutical industry, in the plastic and rubber industry, in the surface finishing and hardening, in the foot, beverage and tobacco industry and in the air conditioning and refrigeration engineering. Pumps of the series CEH…./6 with retaining sage to guarantee the min. filling level in the pump is especially applied to handle liquids under vapour pressure, also from underground tanks.

The SIHI CEH series are horizontal, self-priming side channel pumps, capable of handling gas along with the medium, in segmental-type construction, with open vane wheel impeller as well as a pre-arranged centrifugal stage for attaining favourable NPSH values. The sealing to atmosphere is provided by an isolation shroud; the driver power is transmitted contactless by a magnetic coupling. The use of stable permanent magnetic material ensures the transmission of the nominal torque and given protection against overload. On the basis of the compact close coupled design has been created a pumping unit that is easy to be installed. All IEC standard motors of the construction type IM B 35 are applicable. This design permits the operation of the pump without any additional coupling. Thus the alignment, a source of trouble, can be omitted. The pumps of the series CEH…./6 are equipped with an additional retaining stage, behind the centrifugal stage, to prevent the emptying of the pump during standstill and thus keeping the self-priming ability of the pump. The simple construction of the pump allows the assembly or disassembly without special tools.
