1000 HP Basic, Cryogenic, SF

The 1000HP is a high capacity, high pressure regulator with some constructions allowing inlet pressures up to 2600 psig (179.3 Barg), used to control downstream pressure between 10 and 300 psig (0.69 and 20.7 Barg).

Available in sizes from 1/2″ thru 2″ (DN15 thru DN50).

The unique internals design allows use in a multitude of applications, including air, steam and process fluids that normal pressure reducing regulators cannot match.

The most versatile self-contained, pressure reducing regulator available to users.

Used primarily in utilities services – saturated steam, superheated steam, industrial gases, fuel oils, com pressed air, or water condensate.

Also used in sour gas, chemical and other process services. Refer to technical bulletin 1000HP-DIFF-TB for differential pressure applications. Refer to technical bulletin 1000HP-CRYO-TB for cryogenic reducer applications.

Refer to technical bulletins 1000LP-BASIC-TB for the low pressure (LP) variation of the Model 1000 products. Refer to technical bulletin 1000HP-SF for the high inlet pressure variation.

Features:

Standard construction with extended guiding allows pressure drop up to 650 psid (44.8 Bard). This regulator is routinely ap plied in severe service conditions.

Provides unmatched range-ability – far greater than competitive flow-to-close de signs. Highly stable at either high or low flow rates.

Four body materials and nineteen trim material selections allow us age in a multitude of various fluids. Optional constructions extend the capability.

Internal arrangement isolates the diaphragm from direct impingement, negating any flow induced instability at either low or high flow rates. Allows incorporation of dynamic boost from jet section.

Uniformly registers pressure on the diaphragm. Incorporates mechanical stop in spring chamber to limit diaphragm up-travel and in body for down-travel, minimizing potential internal damage from over-travel conditions.

1000HP-5 and 1000HP-36 Cryogenic Pressure Reducing Regulators.

The 1000HP-5 and 1000HP-36 are cryogenic reducing regulators used primarily in handling liquefied industrial gases.

The Opt-5 construction is essentially of bronze and brass materials; Opt-36 is of austenitic stainless steel materials.

The design takes advantage of all the features of the basic 1000HP reducing regulator; see Technical Bulletin 1000HP-BASIC-TB. The availability of optional construction and body and trim materials is limited to those indicated herein.

The straight-thru flow path inherent in the 1000HP design allows for higher capacity.

The streamlined path also reduces wear and maintenance for the flashing or cavitating conditions frequently associated with cryogenic service.

Applications: Widely applied in pressure building service for remote liquid storage tanks for industrial gases (see Figure 1).

Also used in distribution piping systems where there is the possibility of exposure to temperatures below -20°F (-29°C), and where higher flow capacity is required.

1000HP-SF High Pressure Steam Reducing Regulator.

A special variation of the basic 1000HP pressure reducing regulator enables the 1000HP-SF to contain high inlet pressures up to 2600 psig (179.3 Barg) SWP, while controlling downstream pressures between 100 and 300 psig (6.9 and 20.7 Barg).

Available in sizes 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ (DN15, 20 and 25) with NPT connections.

Wrought barstock cylinder, Integral seat, Stellited seat surfaces, Reduced port, Very high pressure drop capability.

Applications: Primarily used in high pressure saturated steam systems.

Features:

Straight-through flow path reduces internal turbulence and resistance to flow, increasing stability and capacity. Standard construction allows inlet pressures up to 740 psig (51.0 Barg). Controlled outlet pressure up to 300 psig (20.7 Barg).

Features: Wrought barstock cylinder, Integral seat, Stellited seat surfaces,  Reduced port, Very high pressure drop capability.

Applications: Widely applied in pressure building service for remote liquid storage tanks for industrial gases (see Figure 1).

Also used in distribution piping systems where there is the possibility of exposure to temperatures below -20°F (-29°C), and where higher flow capacity is required.
