FD Series – Flange Mounted Rupture Discs

Flexachem supply the Zook FD Series Rupture Discs which offers a wide variety of flange mounted designed rupture discs (bursting discs).

FD Series Discs mount with the concave surface facing the process media. The laser cut determines the burst rating of the disc. When the FD Series Disc ruptures, it opens along the predetermined pattern and folds back against the holder.

Options:

Vacuum Supports are required on vacuum services. Vacuum supports are attached to the process side of the disc and allow the disc to support a full system vacuum. Contact your local Zook supplier if back pressures are in excess of 15 psig or cycling is present

Protective Rings are recommended with FD Series Discs to protect delicate materials and/or to provide stability

Seal / Liners The design of the FD Series allows the use of highly corrosive-resistant seal materials. A wide variety of metal and TFE seal materials are available

FD-R FD Disc with a protective bottom ring
R-FD-R FD Disc with a top and bottom protective ring
FD-V FD Disc with a bottom vacuum support
