CORA Sil Compensator

CORA Sil Compensators are flexible connecting elements that allow the alignment of two machines, of a pipeline and a machine, of two pipelines and other similar applications. The compensators apart from being used to recuperate length variations can also be used for the misalignment of the elements to be connected. The compensators can also be connected to vibrating machines thus avoiding the transmission of vibrations in the pipelines or in the machines to fill.

CORA Sil Compensator s are subdivided into two families:

  • Silicone compensators (transparent, white or black)
  • Silicone coated compensator with P.T.F.E. core (transparent, white or black) The mating flanges can be of the MF or TC type.

The silicone compensator is suitable for processes where no aggressive products are present, but where it is necessary to create a flexible connection between two tubes: machine and tube and tube and CO.RA. valves.

Advantages:

  • Part in contact with the product is Silicone or P.T.F.E.;
  • Easy to disassemble, inspect and clean;
  • Reduced weight and overall dimensions;
  • Materials: Stainless steel, Silicone and P.T.F.E.;
  • Ideal for granules, paste and dust

Working Pressure:

All CO.RA. compensators withstand the maximum working pressure of 0.5 bar The working pressure indicated refers to all sizes (DN).

ATEX Rating:

The compensator in black silicone with MF flange or TC is suitable to work under Atex Category 1 Zone 0/20 internal and external. The black silicone compensator with P.T.F.E. core, MF flange or TC is suitable to work under Atex Category 1 Zone 0/20 internal and external.

WAVE AND STEP TYPE COMPENSATORS:

The “wave type” and/or “step type” silicone compensators are made by injection pressing. They are ideal to connect fixed and mobile tubes in the presence of vibrating parts, in couplings that require a certain liberty such as cell load systems (weighing systems). • Highly flexible (minimum resistance to deformation), and suitable for weighing and precision systems. • High material density due to the pressing process • Material is LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber = liquid silicone) • Adaptable thanks to its high flexibility • Vibration resistant • Temperature resistant from -50°C to +180°C • Easy to replace • Easy to clean thanks to the absence of sharp edges and porosity
